Welcome buyers to your area of my website!  Buying a new or existing home is one of the biggest investments you will make in your lifetime and certainly not a decision to take lightly.  From searching and going through homes to negotiations, inspections, and closing, I will make the entire process as smooth as possible.

The Buying Process:

Pre-approval - Often overlooked in the early stages of the process is getting pre-approved through a financial institution.  This is an incredibly important step as it gives you both a barometer of your borrowing power and an extra negotiating tool.  Note: Be sure to get a pre-approval and not a pre-qualification...the difference between the two is outlined in this article.

Home Search - Finding the properties through MLS and beyond that interest you and suit your needs the best.

Home Showings - While real estate is becoming more of a high-tech industry, it will always be a high-touch one.  I take you through the homes and provide you with as much information as possible about the property.

Offer and Negotiations - Once you have decided on a home, I methodically and carefully guide through all the aspects of the real estate contract and help you create an offer to purchase.  The contract has many important deadlines, provisions, and addendums that I explain to you prior to signing.  Once the offer is submitted, I guide you through the back-and-forth negotiations that will ensue.  As your agent, I always strive to get you the best possible price with the best and most convenient terms.

Inspections - Once the contract and its terms have been finalized, I setup the necessary inspections to protect your investment.  Some of the inspections can include a whole house, termite, well and septic, and radon.  I also make sure that problems or repairs are remedied in a timely manner.

Lender Coordination - Throughout the buying process, I am in close contact with your lender to make the transaction as seamless as possible.  Coordination of the contract terms, appraisal, and inspections as well as finalizing the settlement statement are examples.

Closing - Prior to closing on your home, I go over with you the settlement statement, which lists all the buyer fees and the pertinent mortgage information.  This is an extremely important document so making sure that everything is in order is crucial.

But my job doesn't end there.  As your Realtor, I am always available to you to answer questions or give professional advice.  Your investment in a home is very important to me.  But equally important is maintaining a relationship with you beyond that sale.
